State-Wide Scholarship Opportunities

Seniors, below you will find a list of scholarship opportunities available throughout our state. Please be sure to be mindful of the requirements and due dates for applications.

Description
Need-based state-wide scholarship which may cover up to two years tuition and fees at USHE institutions and Utah Technical Colleges. This is a last dollar scholarship, applied after all other grants, tuition waivers, fee waivers, and scholarships have been applied for students with financial need. Will be administered by individual institutions.
America First Credit Union is giving away 10 scholarships worth $5000 each. Members must be graduating high school seniors or undergraduate students and have a passion for serving and helping others. Applications are due April 1, 2025.
High school seniors in Salt Lake, Davis, Summit, Tooele, Morgan, and Weber Counties may apply. Do not have to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or plan to attend BYU. May apply under financial need or community service. Scroll to the middle of the page and click on "Apply for Salt Lake Chapter Scholarship here". Due April 14, 2025.
The Call to Action Scholarship Program offers eligible students unparalleled assistance so they can achieve their academic goals. The need-based scholarship funds the full cost of attendance for four years ($25,000 maximum annually) at non-profit, regionally accredited public universities and colleges in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Nevada, and Utah. Application due February 21, 2025.
For outstanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) students. The awards cover up to one year of tuition at several state colleges. Applications open November 1, 2024, and are due January 31 2025.
Four year, unmet need scholarship for students who demonstrate strength of character, leadership potential, willingness to give back to the community, academic performance, and financial need. Application opens September 1, 2024, and the deadline to submit is October 18, 2024.
Scholarship for members or children of members of the Far West Agribusiness Association. Application due April 4, 2025.
The First Ascent Scholarship provides the opportunity for incoming college freshmen to engage in all college has to offer. Funds cover unmet financial needs as well as room and board. For students interested in business. Deadline February 14, 2025.
Geneva Rock will award a $2000 scholarship in the spring and the fall to passionate and hard-working individuals who plan to enter and progress in the construction and related engineering industries. Deadlines are July 1 for fall and November 15 for spring semester.
Hogan & Associates Construction offers scholarships for high school seniors who are interested in achieving a degree or trade in a constructio-related field. Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded. Apply online by March 28, 2025.
Utah seniors with Italian ancestry may apply. $1000 to $4000 scholarships based on high school academic performance, ACT score, extracurricular involvement, and essay. Applications are available online and are due March 31, 2025.
Your Utah neighborhood Jiffy Lube owners offer unique scholarship opportunities for both driver education students and all teen drivers attending Utah area high schools. Application deadline March 10, 2025.
Host a blood drive while school is out of session and join the impressive group of youth across the nation who are helping save lives with the American Red Cross! You could earn leadership skills, volunteer hours, a gift card, and be entered to win a scholarship.
Must submit application, transcript, and two letters of recommendation, one of which should be from a member of a Masonic affiliated group. Deadline June 30, 2025.
The Mountain America Foundation will award 120 $2500 scholarships to students who are pursuing post-secondary education and embrace Mountain America's core values. Scholarship recipients are required to open a Mountain America account before the funds are awarded. Applications due February 10, 2025.
The Opportunity Scholarship is the new simplified, statewide achievement scholarship. It may be used at any public college or university in the Utah System of Higher Education, plus BYU, Ensign College, and Westminster. Funding depends on the Utah Legislature and the number of applicants and may be renewed for up to four semesters. Application open January 2, 2025; a priority deadline January 27, 2025; and final deadline March 21, 2025.
The Prime Scholarship is awarded to students who earn the TRANSFORM certificate granted by the Utah State Board of Higher Education after completing required concurrent enrollment or CTE coursework in high school. Application open January 2, 2025, with a deadline of March 21, 2025.
Robinson Injury Law is offering a $500 scholarship for students who have demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an indication of the potential for success in college. Application due March 14, 2025.
Scholarship for Utah high school students who are passionate about science and technology. Awarding $1000 to $5000 scholarships for tuition at technical schools as well as colleges and universities. Deadline October 25, 2024.
P.E.O. Utah State Chapter will award a scholarship to an exceptional Utah woman who plans to attend school outside of Utah. Requires essay, letters of recommendation, and transcript. Due March 1, 2025. Click link for online application or see Ms. Regan for paper application.
The T.H. Bell Scholarship is for those intent on entering the teaching profession in Utah. It can be used at public or private higher education institutions in Utah that offer approved programs. T.H. Bell Scholarships may be for up to the cost of resident tuition, fees, and books and may be received for up to four consecutive years. Contact an eligible Utah higher education institution for more information on the application process and deadlines.
The UAFCS Winnifred Jardine Scholarship is a $500 award to an outstanding high school student who will be majoring in Family & Consumer Sciences Education. Deadline June 30, 2025.
The Park City Elks Lodge and the Utah Elks Association are sponsoring a scholarship for high school seniors planning on a technical or vocational education or students with special needs. See Ms. Regan for application, due January 31, 2025.
Seniors who intend to pursue a STEM course of study at a Utah college, university, or tech college may apply. Students must certify their intent to pursue a STEM related degree. Multiple $3000 scholarships will be awarded. Application due March 1, 2025.
The Utah Independent Agents (UIA) is offering at least three scholarships ranging from $500 to $3000 to Utah high school seniors who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and are active in extracurricular activities through their school, church, community, or work. See Ms. Regan for application. Deadline April 1, 2025.
$1250 scholarship for students who submit a 60-second video describing three important skills they learned from financial literacy class. Applications due December 31, 2024.
Mountain America Credit Union partners with the Utah Public Employees’ Association (UPEA) to offer three scholarships to members of the association or their dependents. Only members of both UPEA and Mountain America, their spouses, their dependents, and/or grandchildren are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applications due TBA.
Criteria vary for each technical college. For MTECH, the scholarship can be used to cover tuition, fees, and required textbooks. Funds must be used within 12 months of graduation.
Must be a member or relative of a member of the UTA. For students interested in wildlife conservation/environmental science. Application due TBA.
Western AgCredit offers four-$1,500 scholarships and one-$1,500 Daniel Anderson Memorial Scholarship annually to borrowers and children of bona-fide borrowers of Western AgCredit. Deadline March 31, 2025.
Students who are residents of WICHE states are eligible to request a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition at participating two- and four-year college programs outside their home state.
For a senior Utah student who is dedicated to helping others and giving back to their community. Several awards available. Application due March 1, 2025.
